Good Morning!
I hope you all had a good weekend because I am well rested. I missed Friday because my baby had Preschool graduation; I'll make up for it though!
Now, down to business: CONDITIONER REVIEW.....this review is on conditioners I have used so far......Let's get started!
Vo5 Tea Tree-was the first one I bought for cowashing. Nice, light scent and feel. I still have a spray bottle containing it mixed with Rosemary leaves. Really cheap; I usally see it for a buck or under on sale.
Vo5 Clarifying Kiwi Lime- love it! I use it as a "washing" conditioner and follow it with another. However, if I am going to use a gel in the morning, I only use it by itself.
Pantene Relaxed & Natural- my relaxed hair loved this line when it came out; my natural hair doesn't really like it. :( Was around 4 bucks at a hair store.
Yes to Carrots- another one I love! This has a smell that some people are weirded out about (baby powder) but I love it. This contains dimethicone. Mostly all natural (except for that dimethicone). My hair feels very soft after this. The Yes to line is a little more expensive, around 8 bucks but it's a huge bottle. They also sell samples at Target for like 2 bucks.
Yes to Tomatoes- a staple of mine! This one does not contain dimethicone. It's very light and has the same smell as carrots but lighter. It's actually lighter in texture than carrots also. I also use this one as a "washing" conditioner or alone if using a gel. This has a really good cleaning property. Creates tiny suds and leaves Popcorn (my hair) poppin & soft!
Herbal Essence Hello Hydration- I really like this one. My hair did feel moisturized but I guess because my hair is so short it felt kind of heavy. I still love it though and sometimes I leave like 10% in my hair when rinsing. Smells great and has a pretty blue color. Less than $4 at your Walmart.
Herbal Essence Totally Twisted- I like this one also. I do the same thing I do with HH, leave in 10% when rinsing. Smells really good and has a pretty purple color. Also around 4 bucks.
Aussie Moist- STAPLE I love this stuff! I just bought it from Cvs and I love it. I also leave in some when rinsing. It smells great, has a nice texture and moisturizes the heck out of my hair. Popcorn feels so soft and when I seal with coconut oil....smh...Popcorn feels like baby hair. It cost it like 4 bucks at the drugstore but I know Walmart has the bigger bottle for under 6 bucks.
I feel like I'm missing something.....Oh well, I'm just approaching 2 months ( I'm sure I'll have a lot more soon). I have yet to use yes to Cucumbers...but that is definitely NEXT.
Happy Conditioning Day!
Hi Tiff...High 5 to HEHH. AUSSIE is next on my list.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI just came across your blog and ...I love it!
I was shampooing my hair but, noticed it began to dry my hair and scalp a bit however I will clarifiy 1x a month ...so for now I'm back to co-washing ( until I find a pH balanced shampoo close to my hairs pH)...I just recently tried Herbal essences and I really like it...I have also tried Aussie most when I first bc'd I may re visit that again...Not a fan of cones ...so I will keep a very close eye on my hairs response...and, I must try yes to tomatoes, sounds great.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these conditioners , it was very helpful.
Take care.

Lol @ Rifa......you'll have so many things to try! Lol
ReplyDeleteThanks so zainab1! I don't use em oftem but my hiar isn't bothered by the cones in conditioners; my styling products are cone free, as well as petroleum/mineral oil based.
